Fresh Start Home Co is not just a cleaning company.

​

It was built from the understanding that when a home becomes overwhelming, life often feels overwhelming too.

​

Originally from South Devon, Fay spent over 20 years in London teaching health, mental wellbeing, body confidence and functional movement, working with people from all walks of life - including older adults, people rebuilding confidence, and those struggling with stress, burnout and mobility.

​

Eventually, the pull to return home to Devon became too strong to ignore.

​

But Fresh Start Home Co was born from something far more personal.

Over 15 years ago, Fay found herself struggling with decluttering and downsizing in her own life. What started as “just too much stuff” slowly became something deeper - postponed decisions, emotional attachment, mental exhaustion, avoidance, and the constant hope that somehow it would all just sort itself out.

And that experience changed everything.

​

It created a real understanding of how emotionally connected people are to their homes, their belongings, and the invisible weight that clutter and overwhelm can place on the nervous system.

What followed was years of further education in decluttering, mindset, behaviour change, NLP, clinical hypnosis and emotional wellbeing - not just professionally, but personally.

Because behind most clutter is not laziness.

It’s burnout.
Grief.
ADHD and neurodiversity.
Menopause.
Depression.
Illness.
Caring for everyone else before yourself.
Or simply life becoming too heavy for one person to carry alone.

​

Fay began to realise there was a huge gap between “coping independently” and needing formal care - a space where people desperately needed calm, practical, judgement-free support to help them regain control of their homes, confidence and independence.

​

Fresh Start Home Co was created to fill that gap.

​

This is not about creating perfect homes or Instagram-worthy spaces.

​

It’s about helping people create homes that feel safe again. Calm again. Manageable again.

A sanctuary where people can exhale, think clearly, feel comfortable being themselves, and reconnect with life again.

Because when your home environment isn’t working, it affects everything:
your energy, your confidence, your motivation, your emotional wellbeing and your ability to move forward.
